Looking forward to this! I know next to nowt about fungi (except that some taste good and some are poisonous!) so this will be my initiation
( Multimap.com, cutecoot! Pretty sure it can't take that long from creepy Crawley?)

| | | Re: East Sussex meet up. Says an hour and 25 mins on googlemaps, D, but I can probably make it a bit quicker than that, not that I drive fast, of course

| | | Re: East Sussex meet up. OK, This might interest some of you. I have just asked, and Patrick tells me that the birch polypore like fungi, that was found on the fungi walk, was called Tyromyces chioneus.
As of now, I can be there on the 7th. Hopefully nothing will crop up.

| | | Re: East Sussex meet up. There were 4 of us today and we had a wonderful time. There were fungi everywhere and we think we found Lactarius quieticolor, a Red Data List species.
We definitely saw false Death Cap, Brown Birch Bollete, Orange Oak Bollete, Slippery Jack, Larch Bollete, Orange Peel, The Blusher, Panther Cap, Fly Agaric, pholotia squarrosa, False Chanterelle, Primose Brittlegill, Honey Fungus, Sulphur Tuft, Bay Boletus, various other lactarius and rakes of small bonnets and mycena.
A very enjoyable day with good company.
