I made a note that I should report back here with this one when it emerged.
So the first one is:
Peppered Moth - Biston betularia.
and a few more details if you want them.

Date Collected. 5 Sep 2009
Date Pupated. 2 Nov 2009
Date Emerged. 14 May 2010
Number of caterpillars found. 1
Plant found on. Plant by stream try willow?
Food plant put with it is. Plant by stream try willow?
Where put = Container number. N82

It has made a pupa.

| | | Re: East Sussex meet up. Another of the caterpillars has emerged that I promised to report back here about. Your files are probably named wrong. I thought at the time it would be a Beautiful Carpet. But it was a Little Emerald - Jodis lactearia.
