Why support ORCA and CBMWC?
The Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre is located in the heart of New Quay in a heritage building overlooking the beautiful beach and harbour. It is a public information, education and research centre dedicated to raising awareness of the marine environment. The centre offers interpretive displays on a wide variety of marine wildlife with research focused on the important Bottlenose Dolphin population of Cardigan Bay. The centre is run primarily by volunteers and relies on charitable funds and donations to continue its important work.
ORCA is a marine conservation charity dedicated to forging links between people and the sea. ORCA is committed to the study of cetaceans and promoting their conservation through enthusing, inspiring and educating others. In the last two years the charitys Wildlife Officer Programme has seen tens of thousands of people travelling onboard ferries, cruise ships and other vessels inspired by marine wildlife and engaged with conservation issues, but your support is essential if we are to continue to develop this important awareness raising project.
