Vale Wildlife Hospital 25th Anniversary Open Day

On Sunday 7th June, Vale Wildlife Hospital & Rehabilitation Centre is holding its 25th Anniversary Open Day.
It's hard to believe that it is almost a quarter of a century ago that I took in my very first casualty, a tawny owl with an injured wing. I would never have believed that Vale Wildlife would grow to the point where we now have a purpose-built wildlife hospital with full veterinary facilities including x-ray, we treat over 4,500 casualties every year, & we give advice to thousands of people from all over the UK as well as other parts of the world.

With the problems brought on by the global recession, we need to make this day a huge success to bring in much-needed funds.

Come along from 11am-4pm & see behind the scenes at the hospital as well as wildlife slideshows, charity stalls, games, raffles, tombolas, birds of prey & live music.

Admission is by (generous!) donation.

Please help us to make this special day a success.

Twenty five years devoted to patching up our wildlife for us Well done you! You’ve worked so hard to build up your centre and I sincerely hope your open day is a huge success.

All credit to you wildliferescuer, that's what you call dedication, commitment and obviously a quarter century's worth of a lot of TLC! As you can see I live in the same county and would like to help your day to be good one by coming along to the event! Could you post some any further details in regards to the location please!

That's very kind of you Jez. It has been tough at times but well worth it overall. If you live in the county, we could do with some more volunteers!!! Lol.
We are situated in Station Road, Beckford, Nr Tewkesbury, Glos, GL20 7AN & I hope you will come along on the day.
As for the weather - here's hoping the rain stays away.

Thanks, would love to visit and have often passed with the family and wondered whether to pop in. We are in Glos. but and hour away, so probably not much use as a volunteer as I only have school hours free. Still, we may move to Gloucester, so I'll find out more on the open day, just in case.

As long as it's dry (please, please be dry!!!!!) we have a 20 acre field we can use for parking. If it rains....hmmm! It's not going to rain, is it?
Will be great that so many of you from these forums are planning on coming.

Well Jez has plenty of experience in pushing me out of fields when stuck!!! He looks quite dashing splattered in mud!!!
