| | | Deer Watching Wab Meet 2008 WAB DEER WATCHING MEET - OCTOBER 11TH/12TH - NEW FOREST HANTS
When we went to the Thursley WAB meet everyone chatted afterwards and said we should have a WAB meet in October time and what was there to photograph about that time - I suggested deer and everyone seemed keen.
Unfortunately Rob T has since found out he has to have another operation and we have only just found out it will be on Sept 22nd so we can now organise the deer watch.
Rob wants to check out the area the weekend before to see what is about so we have decided that the weekend of the 11th/12th October is best. We thought we could try and see - Red Deer (possibly rutting) on the Saturday evening and get up early on the Sunday morning for Fallow Deer (again possibly rutting) and also try and see our favourite white deer.
Could anyone who is interested please let me know so that we can get an idea of possible numbers and start planning the meet before Rob goes into hospital it will be nice for him to have the WAB Deer meet to look forward to afterwards
Hope to see old friends and new in October

| | | Re: Deer Watching Wab Meet 2008 This could be a yes for two / three of us but we have to be back for 13th as we're going to see Chris Packham. Would need to find a cheap B&B somewhere to unless a group fancy hiring out a self catering unit somewhere? |

| | | Re: Deer Watching Wab Meet 2008 I'd love to come Linda but some sweet-talking will be required as I'm going to the Clumber Park fungi foray the weekend before. I might not get a pass two weekends on the trot!
Please bung me down as a tentative and I'll confirm one way or the other as soon as poss.

| | | Re: Deer Watching Wab Meet 2008 Hi Linda,
Anita and I will be there if we can, as always everything rotates around work.
Could you advise on places to stay, as close to the rutting area as possible would be great?
It'll be good to meet up with both you and Rob T again, as well as the rest of the WAB members who'll attend.

Hope you get a good response though and have a very successful meet.
