Leigh | hi leigh,
i dont know if you wanted to head in any particular direction but a good location would be bolderwood, theres a deer sanctuary with a good veiwing platform, thers also a car park opposite, its off of the a35 (lyndhurst to christchurch stretch) theres a lot of fallow there this time of year (its the area we will be walking on the meet),im not sure if they are still doing it but between 1.30 and 2.30 they feed the deer and they come very close, unfortunatly they tend to stop sometime soon so not sure if its still happening,if you need anymore details just pm me,

I'll head down there at the weekend and have a look around...
Thanks again for the reply!

Leigh | Ive just come back from New forest and the deer were still visible from (and near) the viewing platform in Bolderwood both the times I was there, although they have stopped feeding them they still seem to be about |

| | | Re: Deer Watching Wab Meet 2008 Hey thanks for the information!
I went to the forest today, I saw a few deer but I was in a field just off of the A35, I took a look up at the viewing area but did not stay long as I wanted to get a lower angle and there was a sign saying not to go in the field.
Thanks again for the tips. I would like to come along on the meet. I could do with seeing how to stalk the deer without them seeing me...
Regards

| | | Re: Deer Watching Wab Meet 2008 I'm sorry to say that Anita and I won't be able to make this meet.
We were looking forward to meeting up with you all and spotting a few deer, maybe next year.
We hope you all have a great time and look forward to seeing the pics.

Dave | That's a shame - guess the next time will be Priory Water then; unless there's a meet before? |
