| | | Re: Be nice to nettles week The info says that the sting can be treated with a dock leaf, but I know a better remedy. Carefully fold a nettle leaf indide out and rub firmly on the sting, the juice from the leaf works much better than dock. |

| | | Re: Be nice to nettles week When I was at infant school many moons ago we still used to celebrate 'Oak Apple Day' and you were supposed to wear a sprig of oak on your clothes, anyone who didn't was chased by someone who had a stinging nettle and you would get slashed around the legs with it, the boys still wore short trousers then so it was good sport, with all the mamby pambying, health and safety nonsense today can you imagine the law suites if it happened now. |
