Its been a bit wet here this evening, but its dry now and very warm and humid.Forecast for the weekend doesn't sound too bad at all thankfully.
I'm off to bed to catch some shut-eye, my next chance to do so is likely to be Sunday night!!!

Another couple of coffees and a shower and I might be wide awake enough to wonder what we've forgotten (moth trap and book, camera, contact lenses, bacon, eggs, sausages, beans, tinned toms .......... )
Ok see ya later guys n gals..........

| | | Re: Priory Water 2008 Well, after a much needed good nights sleep, I can confirm that it most certainly didn't dampen any spirits.
Just wanted to thank the people that made it happen, and I'm guessing you still refer to yourselves as the 'Pork Pie Posse' and I'd also like to thank the people that attended- it was an absolute pleasure meeting you all and I hope it wont be long until we meet again. Elle and I thoroughly enjoyed the day and I wish we could have stayed for the start of the Mothing but by the time we'd got back from the walk, my legs were starting to go. I thought it would be more logical decision to drive home before I cramped up rather than a decision that I wanted to make. I got some pictures I'm really pleased with... I shall post them on the thread when I upload...
So here's thanks from us and we had an amazing day Our first official WAB meet, but definitely not our last.

| | | Re: Priory Water 2008 I guess I'm the second person home, but I only live 5 miles away!
I came home early because of the terrible blistering heat from the sun (not good for us dumb blondes to be out without a hat ) and also my back started to play up.
Saturday probably went better than should be expected with the weather. The mothing didn't turn up anything really special, but there was a lot of photography first thing this morning of the nights catch. I expect we will see some stunning images later tonight/tomorrow.
Good to see old friends once again, and nice to meet a few new faces.
For those that attended, I'll PM full list and totals of moths if you are interested
(I could post the list here if folks wish to know what they missed?)

| | | Re: Priory Water 2008 I had a really great time everyone was very friendly and it was a real pleasure to meet you all.
Saturday the rain was a a pain at times, it did brighten up later.
We saw some fantastic wildlife including two Grass Snakes a first for me.
Me and tufftie got lost more than a few times it took us 4 hours to get there It should have taken us an hour.
We stayed in a beautiful farmhouse b+b overlooking stables. We abandoned the camping
Sunday was a lovely day I got a few pics of damselflies and moths, I have never photographed before.
It was a very enjoyable experience I would recommend priory water to anyone.
Thanks guys |
