Essex 18 Aug 2007 – Bumblebee talk and guided walk with Ted Benton, author of the New Naturalist Bumblebee Book - Chafford Hundred Nature Park, South Essex. From 12-4pm. To book tel: 01375 484016

I went on one of these a couple of weeks ago at Shorne Country Park & had a thoroughly good time. Dunno what it would normally be like as I was the only person that showed up But the people showing me around were knowledgable & good fun. Bees are harder than they look though!

The natural history museum has a good on-line bumble-bee ID site which they say will identify all British species. It looked good when I tried it - has anyone else had a look? BUMBLE BEES

No, I haven't seen it, but I will check it out soon. Actually a couple of weeks ago a new member joined, who said they worked at the natual history museum! Am quite envious.
