I guess there will be several small groups at different points of the reserve.
You will probably see some of us as you pull into the car park area.

Definaitley choose the right day, every insect was thriving and just about everyone got what they went for e.g White Legged Damsels and Small Red Eyed Damsels
It was a great day and everyone thouroughly enjoyed themselves despite it being a little too hot for some people
And it was great to see so many people from WAB together and everyone got on also there was many people not from WAB and they showed great enthusiam for the wildlife.
also every single person showed respect towards the reverse
A few such as Fourwings, MTR, Oscar2006 ect, are doing an all nighter for national moth night and staying over night mothing until 9-10 tomorrow morning, crazy bunch I would have loved to have stayed myself but i'm going to the seaside tomorrow so couldn't
anyway as you will see from the photo grphs it was a great day

| | | Re: WAB dragonfly meeting Some great images Graham and Ben.
Just like to say thanks to Fourwings, Oscar2006 and the others who helped to make this a great day out.
I acheived my target of White Legged Damsels and Small Red Eyed Damsels and will put some images up tomorrow when I've more time to sort them out.
A great day, and it was nice to put some faces to names.
Thanks everyone.

Roger | I would also like to add a big thank you to Roger, without his generosity, none of my pictures would have been possible, as he has kindly lent me his Bigma whilst mine is being repaired.
Thanks again Roger. |

Za | actually i only had the one pint - that made the stabbing pains worse , so bad that i had to leave the pub and go home early ( which is a first for me) , nope it was the pie and i shall be having words with tescos about their "finest" range at the first opportunity

| | | Re: WAB dragonfly meeting Lovely day and excellent shots, Graham and Ben. I'm impressed you had the energy to sort them last night - I was asleep in my chair by 9.00!
It was great to meet everyone - thanks again to Steve and the others for organising it.
Off to see if I got any decent photos. |

| | | Re: WAB dragonfly meeting We would like to thank everyone involved with arranging the meeting yesterday.
And also say "hello" to those we did not get to say "hello" to, both myself and my sons had an very enjoyable day, they needed refueling more frequently than most, but it was a very hot day, and we needed to leave mid afternoon as we had arranged to attend a moth night in North Yorks, but we did see a lot of newbies for us at Priory Water.
That's a really nice place you have there, we are very envious, and look forward to seeing the photos.
Thanks

| | | Re: WAB dragonfly meeting As promised I have put a few shots taken at Priory Waters into the main galleries. I have only uploaded three. My two target species to see and photograph and one of the Canada Geese in flight. Just can't help myself when it comes to Geese in flight, have to take a photo.
I might add that I also saw another first for me an Emperror Dragonfly although I didn't get a photo it was still an experience to see my first Emperror. I got loads of other photos of Common Darters Southern Hawker etc and had a fantastic day out.

| | | Re: WAB dragonfly meeting I would like to add my thanks to Oscar, MTR and Fourwings for all their efforts in providing a great day and night out for everyone yesterday. All I did was cut a bit of grass.
It was nice to see so many people come from quite a distance in some cases, and enjoy a day of lovely weather and good humour.
Hopefully we can do this every year if the interest is there.
