I have the 400mm prime if I need any further reach than the 150mm
We can always meet at Whisby to swap back when yours is repaired

Many thanks for the offer Roger, much appreciated. Knowing Priory Waters, I think a tele lens may well be the lens to have on. |

| | | Re: WAB dragonfly meeting Having just returned from a superb weekend in the New Forset, my attentions are now focused on this coming Saturday.
The weather is looking good at this stage so fingers crossed.
I think a good time to meet would be 10am at the visitor centre, this is situated just off of Station lane between the Villages of Asfordby and Kirby Bellars, just West of Melton Mowbray.
I will put up some signs with a dragonfly on at each end of Station lane and also at the reserve entrance.
Grid reference for the reserve is SK 715185, this is actually the centre of the whole reserve but it will enable anyone to find it easily on a map.
Station lane is the road directly to the West of the reserve, make it to there and you cant miss us (hopefully)
If anyone feels they need greater in depth directions just send me a PM.
I will post further details towards mid-week.

| | | Re: WAB dragonfly meeting Well that's saved me a phone call Steve. I was wondering what time we were meeting up.
What a civilsed time to meet. I might even get a chance to do a short two hour moth trap on Friday night.
Look forward to meeting you all.

| | | Re: WAB dragonfly meeting Weather is looking quite good for Saturday, 23 degrees with a slight risk of light showers in the afternoon.
I was there with Matt this afternoon and the place was buzzing with Dragonfly activity, we recorded 14 species in just under 2 hours.
For those of you who haven't seen Small Red-Eyed Damselfly yet this will be an excellent chance to aquaint yourself with the species, there were literally 100's of them out on the lakes today, some perching less than 2 feet from shore giving some excellent photo poses.
Looking forward to seeing you all.

| | | Re: WAB dragonfly meeting It's looking good Steve. I certainly hope to get into a few of those species.
BTW apart from the Dragonflies have there been any good bird photo opportunities at the Priory as well?

John | Mothing sessions have been going well this year John, we continue to add new species to the reserve list at every session.
It gives a warm night on Saturday (14 degrees) so conditions are looking favourable for a good moth catch. |

and finally we have to state that Priory Water is a very wild place so anyone attending this event does so at Entirely their own risk the management will not be responsible for any injury, damage, loss, theft, etc.... occuring to either yourself or your property whilst you are on the reserve.
Looking forward to seeing you all at 10am on Saturday morning

| | | Re: WAB dragonfly meeting It appears that for this event or rather after the Mothing event, I been assigned the role (roll?) of breakfast chef!
Who is staying over and needs a brekkie?
nothing special, just Bacon, Sausage, egg, beans, cobs (rolls or baps in old English) Tea / Coffee
Any special needs? (tough if it ain't on the menu it ain't getting cooked!)
Obviously we will need to make a small charge to cover the cost of the food, and I need to know numbers so I get out tomorrow and buy the stuff.
please advise ASAP
"Whose the six Oscar. Come on name & shame."
