We are pleased to welcome Richard Winspear from the RSPB who is helping on our guided walks at 11am and 2pm, we also have a shorter walk at 12.45. He will be explaining how our management under Countryside Stewardship is helping farmland bird populations. On our award-winning farm we have over 85 spp bird recorded, including 13 red data list species. We have breeding barn owls, kingfishers, lapwings, tree sparrows, meadow pipits and much more. Fantastic hedges, field ponds, an SSSI - I could go on, but better still if you are local come and see us on Sunday,. Children's nature trail ongoing 11am-4.30. Bring a picnic, children's play area, charity raffle etc. Contact details on Melton Mowbray Farm - Brentingby Meadows |
