| | | Re: Help Thanks for all the replies.
So far, no luck. I bought the humane tip traps and set up 3. Baited them with peanut butter and laid them where I thought the mouse/mice would go.
I cleaned out my larder yesterday and there is evidence of mice activity and plently of little poops but, micey is either very clever or, as suggested, is a lone ranger.
Thanks again for the help and advice. |

| | | Re: Help I'm not going to be popular here - but if you have a major infestation you may find the live traps are not the answer, and you may have to call in the Big Guns. I think I'd give it a couple of days with the live traps first though. |

Don't feed it too much and keep it inside! |

Sorry to offend any mice lovers. |

| | | Re: Help Oh my goodness, I'm just having a childhood flashback!!
I had pet mice as a child and enthusiastically used to encourage them to breed, and loved them all very much. Unfortunately, of course one whole litter escaped (IT WAS MY BROTHER'S FAULT!!!), and after that we had a real mouse problem... especially since they were beautiful mice of all different colours, brown, black, white, grey, or combinations of all of those colours. They were all over the house - in the kitchen, under the eaves, running across the beams in the living room... It took a combination of all the possible ways of killing/trapping/poisoning mice to get the situation under control.
Jelli, just stay calm. You may even already have dealt with the problem and havent got back to us yet. But do let us know... |

Or are your food supplies too great a draw for them now?
Try placing the traps where they were running in your cupboard. |

| | | Re: Help My mum had mice, which were causing havoc and were ripping up her carpets to make nests. There was evidence of them every where! This was such a big infestation that I called in pest control. It seems to have worked, but obviously there are gaps around mum's pipes, so my husband will have to get some mesh with very small holes to prevent them from getting back in. In the past mum use to put down humane traps, but placed them next to the wall, as they usually stick close to the edges of a room, unless distracted by something interesting to eat or spot good nesting material. Mum use to release them about two miles away from her cottage, so they wouldn't find their ways back. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
