| | | What kind of creature could it be...? Hi there - I'm hoping someone can help me identify a mysterious creature from the following description of its tracks and droppings:
Around an isolated old house in rural Herefordshire we have seen a well-used track appearing - it weaves across flower beds at the front of the house then goes through some rough grass and ends at a 2m high brick wall. I'm guessing that whatever it is jumps onto / over the wall because the trail then reappears, going across the lawn and up one side and down the other of a free-standing yew hedge. Here it disappears - I haven't seen any holes or burrows. The track is quite well-worn but narrow - about 10cm wide, and it is about 1.5cm deep. It is possible to see parts of the prints but they are not too clear - it looks like 4 rounded pads similar to a cat's. I also found some droppings - they didn't smell and looked to be more roughage than anything else - there were definitely apple pips in it. They were darkish brown and in a heap of 3 longish (8cm) ones.
Any ideas?! Many thanks... |

Yes photo's are needed here, not enough to go on. It may be that the tracks/trail and droppings are unrelated. |
