| | | Otters at Blandford Hi Folks,
Does anyone know if the otters are still present in the Blandford Forum area. Apparently it's no big secret down there as I heard they can be seen right beside Tesco's car park south of the town.
Cheers,
Adam |

| | | Re: Otters at Blandford Very interesting. Some years ago (early eighties) I was walking along the Stour in BF at night and flicked a stone off the path into the river with my foot. Just after it plopped in I heard a large splash. I alway wondered if that might have been an Otter, though was never really convinced.

Cheers,
Adam | The latest pictures I've seen were taken just before Christmas, so I would guess they're still there. There's supposed to be 2 families of up to 9 individuals so they seem well established there.
It's definitely no secret. The Environment Agency feature them on their website, and Mike Dilger filmed them on the One Show. When I went back in the Autumn there were a couple of other photographers, but I heard that now there can be up to 70 people watching them - and the otters don't seem to mind all the attention.
Cheers,
