grey and red!

i have just returned from Glasgow ,and for the past few days have been entertained by the local grey squirrels. i watched them rebuild their drey ,after them chasing away a couple of magpies, and on one occassion watched them getting "friendly" with each other. i didn't feed them on the advice of my daughter as the residents would have objected,but none the less they did provide for my nature fix . today i went into the hospital ,just to get a dressing changed and to let the doctor see how it was .on the way back rather than stop at the sea side car park ,to excercise the dogs ,we decided to visit one with a bit more shelter,and lo and behold it gave me a chance to see the new red squirrel viewing area ,with great success ,a first class sighting ,only 10 feet away from a red ,so if anyone is passing Glen Righ on the A82 near Fort William check it out,i can almost gaurantee a sighting ,and don't be like me ,forget the camera!!

How lovely.

Are the greys very far from the reds? I thought the idea was to try and make a buffer zone to keep the reds safe.

very far ! over 2hrs by road,we only have red here in the west! , don't think i've ever seen reds in the central belt of scotland ,but i'm sure some one will verify that!
