| | | Could somebody identify this dropping? Hello, hearing funny noises this morning I looked across the room and then saw something small dash under my door, and on further investigation found this behind the oven.
I've done much googling to see if this is mouse or rat, but results seem to vary on description of size etc. I have a bad feeling its rat.
Picture with penny for scale attached. Hopefully it shows Ok.
Many thanks for any answers. |

| | | Re: Could somebody identify this dropping? Hi Curious Cat and welcome to WAB.
It's small dropping and not too clear in your images but my take would be a mouse or a vole. Small rodents are coming into dwellings at this time of year to enjoy our warm and hospitality.
They are easily trapped with humane traps and can be released away from the house. |

| | | Re: Could somebody identify this dropping? Thank you for your fast response. I'm leaning that way too (and my flat is very warm so not surprised!) I found a few more in the communal hall way just outside my door which I suspect came from the same animal and the small size makes me lean towards mouse.
Yes apologies for the picture quality, mobiles aren't good for close ups. I have two more now that are hopefully clearer when clicked to enlarge. |
