I'm struggling with the concept of trying to identify the age of a snail and its relevance to the age of the find. A three year old snail living two thousand years ago for example. Perhaps the species indicates an era.
All good stuff on a Monday. | Sorry, my fault, poorly explained - it is indeed the species that indicates which era it lived in - apparently there are differences between types that lived 10,000 years ago, and ones that lived a mere 9,000 years ago, and so on. Absolutely fascinating (for an archaeologist). |

I always found contact with Voles a pleasant experience, not so frenetic and jerky as Mice.

h | Didn't the Beatles make an LP called "Evolver"? Something like that, any way.
We have just had a new bit built on the back of the house which looks directly on a row of roses, Bank voles seem to find it a good gym, and we also see them peering over the edge of the guttering from next door. Probably making a glider up there somewhere. They are too quick to photo, gone in a flicker.
