Ummmm ... O level French is a long time ago... So is it a kind of deterrent, the wind makes the bottles vibrate and the noise drives away rabbits etc???

Seems the device might not have worked so well !!

I went back over there yesterday and there was some evidence of activity.

If I'm not mistaken, this could be a freshly-used latrine

?

I placed some sticks over a few holes and will go back tomorrow to see if they've been distrubed.
