| | Feeding station design. Anyone got a design for a hedgehog feeding station that the local moggies cannot raid? Cheers, Tony. |

| | | Re: Feeding station design. The main thing is an entrance that is only 4" square and to push the bowls to the back.
One free and one low cost way to do it is....
FREE - pop along to your local veg shop and ask for one of the trays the mushrooms come in. They are quite deep and if you cut a 4" square hole on the one end and upturn it on the ground with something like a brick on top to stop it being pushed aside then this does a good job.
Low Cost - an old storage tub the type with the lid that you store toys in etc. Take the lid off, upturn it and again a 4" square hole smoothed off on one side and the bowls at the other end.
Both Moggy and bird proof, keep the rain off and the food dry and allow somewhere the hog can eat in peace and easy access for you. |

I have more mushroom trays than you can shake a stick at. I use them for transporting seedlings in plastic coffee cups from vending machines. Cheers, Tony.
