| | | Badger Hi there. I thought I'd share a few badger shots that I was lucky enough to take yesterday. Larger versions are on my website.
Thanks for looking!
Jason

| | | Re: Badger Jason - they are excellent photos. Love the motion in the first two.
Were you in a hide or just skulking by a known track? What sort of time in the evening were these active? I always love watching Badgers. I did see 5 from a hide in the Highlands where they are smaller back in August.
About a month ago I went to a local hide but had the luck of Spring/Autumnwatch with a no show! |

Thanks very much everyone for your kind comments. I know some people invest a great deal of time and energy to achieve similar shots of wild badgers so I must come clean about the ones I've taken.
These shots are of a captive badger taken at the British Wildlife Centre:
British Wildlife Centre
Eastbourne Road (A22)
Newchapel, Lingfield
Surrey RH7 6LF British Wildlife Centre, Surrey. More than forty different British wild animals in large attractive enclosures.
I just picked a spot in the enclosure that looked fairly natural and had good light. I then set up my camera and waited patiently for the badger to finally come into frame. This only happened when one of the keepers accidentally startled the badger sending it running round the back of the enclosure, away from all the other visitors and their cameras and straight towards me. I was lucky with these and certainly don't deserve the credit that should be afforded to someone who waits all night in a hide for their badger shots. I'm still pleased with these photos though.
Jason
