Jason | Your honesty is commendable Jason - if only more "wildlife" photographers were as open and truthful about their captive shots

I found it very frustrating on many occasions after setting up my camera and waiting ages for that perfect photographic opportunity only to have it ruined by other visitors. Several times just as the animal I was trying to photograph came into the right light and at the right angle I had other people push me out of the way and stand right in front of my lens. I just had to smile, walk away and come back later.
There are talks given by the keepers at scheduled times throughout the day. I found the best way for me to get the shots I was after was to wait until the keeper was giving a talk at one enclosure and then I would rush off to a different enclosure whilst all the other visitors were distracted.
The centre also seemed to empty out about half an hour before closing time so some animals such as the foxes all came out to play about then. This is great if you're lucky enough to still have good light.
