very odd behaviour - may be it has a deathwish ?
I was late for a meeting by this point so i moved it onto the vege one last time then left it to its own devices | Any hog out in daylight is likely to have problems of some sort- thirst, hunger, injury, illness, worms, hypothermia. If you see one again, capture it, put it in a box with towels and wrapped up hot water bottle, and get in touch with a carer for advice. Wear gardening gloves.
If I have misunderstood and it was at night- it was either perverse or stupid!

You'll be able to see if any has been dragged into the nest if it is one.
I hope so!
Please DO put water dishes out too. Much safer than the pond even if easy sides. You can check whether anything has been drinking the water, and you may notice scratch marks where a hog has used it. | That's good advice too. Havent been able to do anything over the last couple of days but will follow up at the weekend and let you all know of the results. |

If I have misunderstood and it was at night- it was either perverse or stupid! | it was about dusk - so i figured it was just coming out for the evening - maybe it had perfected a tyre piercing spine and was on a road test
