Tatton Park Deer Rut

I was wondering if anyone has ever been to watch the deer rut at Tatton park? The main reason I ask is that i would like to photograph the rutting deer this year and I am reasonably local, but would like to go at dawn to get some atmospheric shots when the light is at its best. Is this possible or is the park not open at this time. I have tried to research it and found mixed answers, so if anyone has first hand experience and could give a definitive answer it would be very much appreciated. If this a dawn visit is not an option, is there anywhere else in the North West that people know where it may be possible? Cheers,

Well i visited yesterday and entered via the knutsford entrance parking on a road nearby. This entrance is open to pedestrians at 8am so should give some good opportunities. It seems like the rut is underway and I managed to catch up with one group of red deer with a large male stag in charge. Hopefully i will get back earlier soon, and find some deer in better light.
