| | | Finding Deer in Cornwall Hi all
For my final university project I'm going to be photographing and studying Red Deer in Cornwall, does anyone know of any good spots to find them? They don't necessarily have to be in wild places, any National Trust places or even farms would be helpful to know about.
Thank you |

| | | Re: Finding Deer in Cornwall Not sure if its still there, but there used to be a commercial deer farm at Polmassick - a little hamlet near St Ewe, which is between St Austell and Gorran Haven.
It is in a steep valley, with a road running up the other side and excellent views of the deer. We went down there this time last year, and you could hear the stags roar echo around the valley. First time I'd ever heard a stag in the flesh! |

| | | Re: Finding Deer in Cornwall The Cabilla and Redrice Nature Reserve near Bodmin (SX 129 653) apparently has Red deer. In his 2007 book, Wild About Cornwall, David Chapman says:
"Red deer are not easy to see in Cornwall, but the Glynn Valley is one of their strong-holds."
Good luck!
Cheers,
Marc. |
