How many hedgehogs

Have to night been watching hedgehogs in my garden trying to work out how many different ones are visiting I have three feeding bowls, and so far have worked out have at least 6.
I know this as at same time as I had 3 in view at same time I new were 2 others were one was in some thick ivy right by patio door the ivy very thick growing over old table up against a fence theres only one way it could come out from there so i would of seen it come out, and another had gone down along under bedroom window and unless very very fast hog was not one of the 3 i saw at same time.
Not to long after was 2 more hogs feeding one could well of been one from earlier but other was smaller then any of others so that would be No6.
Going to put some more food out now all bowl i think going to empty.
look like need to get lots more food when i go shopping this week

can not believe how many hogs live round hear

Wonderful!

You could always nip out and mark each hog you see with a teeny weeny bit of Tippex/acrylic paint to keep track of how many hogs are visiting your garden (paint a few spine tips on e.g. neck, left shoulder, right shoulder, middle back, left rump, right rump, etc). I remember reading about a guy who did this and he discovered he had no less than 13 hogs visiting his garden!!

I may do that, I do no that i have 4 feeding bowls and can get though over 300 gms of meal worms plus about the same in chopped nuts chicken iams kitten plus they do a good job of cleaning spill from bird feeders up be going out to top up in a bit befor bed. And have got some good pics last few nights and got a new batch of young ones I think theres three one is very bold I was lying down on grass last night taking few pics and this one came right up almost to lens to have a look see got good head on shot of that one.
