I think there are some water vole pellets round the periphery, but is this long one rat?

It could be brown rat or water vole, its very hard to make out due to its texture. The fact that is so isolated could suggest brown rat, and it is quite large which also suggests brown rat. I think if I had to make a bet I would say brown rat out of the two of them. I suspect its been eating a lot of fruit as opposed to vegetation, but that is only speculation.

Thanks. I'm fairly sure those are w-v droppings around it. I just wondered whether it might be a w-v with diarrhoea!
