| | | bad pic's ? i have found a badger set in dense undergrowth. getting pictures is very hard because it so dark when they come out at dusk !
also got 3 fox cubs running around the same area.
all my pics are very dark and blurd.
if set up a lamp will this scare them from coming out ?
maybe red filter over the lamp ?
any sugestions ?
thanks. |

| | | Re: bad pic's ? A red light will not affect them at all, but it will not be of much use for photography.
If you can persevere with them, they will get used to a full light, but you will need to introduce them to it slowly and very frequently. Maybe start with a very dull torch and work up to a full light.
They do get used to flash in time. Perhaps with a few peanuts you could encourage them into a more open spot.
Best of luck.

| | | Re: bad pic's ? Badgers react to dawn and dusk in slightly different ways. They very rarely come out before dusk, however they often stay out beyond dawn. Especially at this time of year when they are building up fat reserves for the winter. So if the light permits I would consider some early mornings, you may then get the results that you are looking for. |
