| | | Re: Do Otters Climb trees? I wouldn't have thought normal, rather unusual. It appears to be happily sunning itself and I'm wondering if it's from North America.
Can you get further details, nightshade? |

Never seen an otter even look up a tree myself. I wonder if it might have been cornered/surprised by dogs or people and had nowhere else to go, it does look very relaxed though.

If so, there is a news clip on the net of this. |

| | | Re: Do Otters Climb trees? I have seen a U-tube vid of a young captive otter who appears to prefer climbing trees to the company of her fellows. Obviously this could be a stress reaction but climb she can and does!

Can you get further details, nightshade? | It was photographed on the west side of the Malverns by someone from an airgun forum I am told

| | | Re: Do Otters Climb trees? Hence the rather interesting part by part images of a BSA Giant underlever, Webley Premier pistol and other interesting stuff on the Flikr account.
Doesn't our leader, StuDH, come from West Malvern?
They are good images of what may be an unusual sight. (The Otter - not the airguns or the Indian motorcycles).

| | | Re: Do Otters Climb trees? I've seen Otters scrambling up tree-roots with no problem, so presumably they would have no trouble climbing further. Can't think why they would want to though.

So they can climb trees (given the right tree and incentive)
