| | | Re: Anyone know what this is?? Really a section of backbone from what possible creature??? I have no idea lol There are two holes just below the curved ridges where the eye sockets would be, also there are what appear to be two ear canals just behind the eye sockets seperated by a 5 mill peice of bone/cartillage. On the under side of the item is 3 tooth(?) holes on either side.
It is 2+1/2 inches in length and 1+1/2 inches in width at the widest part. At the very top at the back is small holes and grooves almost where a spine would have connected. Will try and upload another piccy. But thanks xx |

| | | Re: Anyone know what this is?? Hi,
do you have pictures from any other angles? I'm not 100% sure, the picture's a bit small to make out details, but I don't think it's a skull either. I would have a look at bird pelvises (sp. ?). |

| | | Re: Anyone know what this is?? I'm thinking bird pelvis too. Bird skeletons have strange holes in them, to help keep the weight down to aid flying - might explain your "tooth" holes. There was a post here about a similar "skull" a few weeks ago.
Here it is: skull I. D. please
