| | | More Pooh Hi lots of this stuff appeared overnight, no attempt to bury it and seems a lot for a cat, could it be fox or anything else? |

| | | Re: More Pooh Any idea of scale? The third lot looks like fox to me, but the little pellets could be deer, depending on size? |

| | | Re: More Pooh Agreed... but where was it found? We need some sort of size marker for a good ID. First thoughts, like Vole-Woman suggests are deer (species depending on size) and fox.

| | | Re: More Pooh Hi, they were all together so must be same animal, small ones about an inch, biggest 4 inches. They were in our garden which is surrounded by 5ft fences and a brick wall at one end. There are foxes around here, but can they jump a fence? |

| | | Re: More Pooh I've found scat from different animals in the same place. They sometimes do like to use the same marking place. |

| | | Re: More Pooh I have just started to use a 10p piece in photos for scale, it is just under an inch in dia.

| | | Re: More Pooh I suspect it has to be the same animal as just nnot that much wandering my back garden, certainly no deer. Locally we have badgers, foxes, maybe otter, weasels/stoats and rabbits, probably not a lot else.
It might be coincidence but the pooh was right by my aviary where we have had fledgling parrots leaving the nest recently and they can be a little noisy at that stage (which is why there not many left in their native land).
It has attracted sparrowhawks into the garden in the past and maybe now foxes? |

| | | Re: More Pooh I suppose the pellets could be rabbit, if they're small. Quite reasonable to get rabbits in a garden, especially if you have foxes. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
