| | | Can anyone help with 5 prints please Hi the stream in my local woods is at an all time low level. In one spot it has left a "watering hole" It is surrounded by hundreds of these prints. All left overnight. Out of curiosity I took pictures of some of them. Can anyone id them please so that i can look out for these creatures in the future. I think one of them is a deer, one a fox, and one a badger. BUT I am probbably totally wrong. I have seen several foxes but none of the rest over several years.
Any comments gratefully appreciated.
regards tn.

2 is deer - species depends on locality and size.
3 -5 not sure

| | | Re: Can anyone help with 5 prints please hiya, the first one looks like fox, due to the positions of the toe pads, although it could be that of a small dog. The next one is roe deer. The last few are dogs' prints. |

| | | Re: Can anyone help with 5 prints please My thanks to you all for you're time and trouble.
I shall not waste my time on the dogs. As I say I have seen several foxes. However the deer I will certainly look out more closely for. I did once scare off a pair of what I think were deer but sadly only saw a very brief behind of one it was hairy and black and about the size of a wild boar. So you never know!!!
regards tn.
