yes the answer is that under normal conditions fish are not part of
of the natural diet of a hedgehog.
with weet food its best to stick to meat flavoured food and
avoid the jelly based wet food as this gives them loose stools
it also avoids any chance os small fish bones getting into there digestive system

| The jelly ones are the preferred, it is the gravy based ones that can cause very loose stools. |

My parents cats have always been the same; they go through phases of eating fishy cat food (frequently turning their noses up at the suff), even though I've never known them to turn down fresh fish. Thus, I think the advice is more to err on the side of caution and put out stuff that a hedgehog is very unlikely to turn-down.
