Polecat

from what I know polecats are not known for there climbing abilitys, though seeing what some ferrets can do it wouldn't suprise me, though a polecat would be more black than brown in colour.

A few years ago my friend hit a polecat one night as it ran straight at the wheels of her car. We went back to check what it was and I removed it from the road. It was quite heavy and had a thick tail and thick body. I had never seen one before and didn't realise how heavy they could be. Didn't see the colour as it was dark but it was dark brown/black. My impression was a very chunky body anyway and not long and lean like a ferret or weasel
