I finally managed to take a picture of one of the urban foxes that visit my garden.

Splendid picture. We hear foxes barking nearby but never see them. Until early this morning, when we saw a fox-shaped shadow running down the far side of the hedge. I do hope they start to visit. |

We had one die in the garden last week we called the RSPCA but they were only interested if it was still dying! they told us to call the council who in turn were not interested at all.
Ended up putting it in a black bag and taking it to the local tip.

Great, atmospheric shot + shows not all suburban Foxes are mangy looking creatures. This one (a male?) has a good winter coat for today's weather.
Just after I went to bed last night I could hear a vixen calling either in my, or a neighbouring, garden. I'm hoping she found the young Brown Rat I saw a couple of days ago! |

Fantastic photo. Foxes are one of my all time favourite British mammal. They get a hard time in the wild and many die young. So lovely to see one looking so healthy. Absolutely brilliant! |
