| | | Otters or Mink by the River Trent. There's always been talk of otters living by the River Trent in recent years. Until Saturday I'd never been anywhere near them, nor did I know where they lived, but I do now!
To be honest I never saw the animal but my wife did, she saw it scampering over the rocks. I simply cried out "WHERE!" and tried to shoot some shots hoping against hope of getting something.
At first I though I'd missed it, but a massive crop on one image shows the animal, see if you can see it!:
I failed to get anything else that day, but even this poor shot more than made up for any other disappointment, even though I never actually saw it. Shooting blind you could call it! |

It might well have been a lucky shot, but it's still a top picture. Well done Graham, hope you get to see him or her again.

In two week I've seen my first Lesser Spotted Woodpecker, captured a flying Bittern shot, all those shots at Center Parcs, The waxwing, and the Otter. Pure MAGIC!! |

Roger | Thanks Roger, I will certainly be going back to try and get a better view, but I doubt I'll get much in the way of photo's as it's on the opposite side of the River, somewhere where I can't get, nor would I try even if I could, but it's well worth seeing! |

| | | Re: Otters by the River Trent. I'm getting a bit like that too. I was on my knees in a field yesterday snapping away at Skylarks, absolutely oblivious to the dog walkers wandering past me. They must have thought I was some kind of nutter!
