| | | woodmouse? hi all,
Spotted this little fella while out running today.. can you confirm whether it's a wood mouse?
he was no bigger than a 50p! but his ears didn't seem big enough for a woody.
was a treat anyway.. such a cutie.
thanks

His back legs look wood mouse-ish to me - big and pale. Did he move with a kangaroo-hopping style movement? I've a video of a baby wood mouse here: About a Brook: What Mouse? |

| | | Re: woodmouse? Hello, sorry if this is a wrong place to post this but over the last day about 3-4 which seem to be wood mice have been running around garden. They look the same as the picture but are much more grey, so not sure if this is a wood mouse. They were quite small and my cat has caught and killed one but another one was in cats mouth but not bitten or scarred in any way. I tried to just let the mouse be in a covered area but it kept blindly rolling about.
The group were all open eyed and running around quite easily only when my cat got this mouse did it decide to keep it's eyes shut. This was a good few hours ago now and since then has been in a small box with some shredded news paper and some water/ seeds. Only in last few minutes has the mouse started moving around and getting active, but the eyes are still closed.
Just wondering what some advice would be. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
