and thank you Jan I have saved the number of blyth wildlife rescue in my phone and the number for the northumbrian hedgehog rescue and I'm looking for more.
I have in the past seen injured birds, one being a wood pigeon a little while ago. Do all rescue centres put down birds or other animals that are seen as vermin ?

Blyth wildlife rescue website says they don't deny treatment to any animal regardless of species or status which sounds pleasant but couldn't imagine anywhere wanting to treat a rat and I know that if you find a mink you have to report it so would they treat one?...
