Hares, where?

Hi all, I think this the right place for this. Like a lot of people lately I have been on the look out for hares, in the last 2 to 3 months I have been looking I have seen only the 1, yesterday day back in the Wirral Country Park, so my question is can anyone advise me where is the best place in the Wirral to see hares.

My sister lives in Wirral and says they have seen them in Arrowe Park area (of all places) Also down towards Burton Marshes.
If you can get out for a day (an hour and a bit run) Bleasdale area in Lancashire or up towards Whitewell in forest of bowland is excellent hare spotting country.
