Witnessed a mindless act

that is good news that he is going to court, I think some (not all) of the older generation of farmers do not respect our wildlife or the law, a elderly farmer who i once worked for cornered a weasel in his hay barn and beat it to death with a metal bar and was proud of the act, he said would have done the same to a badger given the chance as they were dangerous animals

Expressed myself inadequately, there, STYRBJORN. As I've said many times on this board, I believe it's possible to kill animals humanely and with respect (otherwise I'd be a veggie) and I know you're efficient with a gun and the animals you kill don't know much about it.

What I meant by my comment re violence was mindless cruelty, the making an animal suffer for the sake of it, drawing out that suffering unnecessarily, and deriving enjoyment out of that suffering.
