Hedgehogs

Hi Folks,

I'm currently in the process of creating a hedgehog page for my website. I would love to hear your stories about hedgehog encounters, especially any that involve social interactions. I would also be interested to know what your hogs like to eat - are they picky about their grub? A friend of mine is in the process of writing a 'Hedgehog Diary' about her resident hogs and I would like to add some other views/stories/opinions to it. Also, I am looking for some photos to brighten up the page.

Hi,

Me and my parents had to rescue a little HedgeHog fella who came into our garage to feed on the plentiful amount of slugs at 10 o'clock at night. We had to call the RSPCA and tryed to lure it out in the ed the stubborn Hedgehog had to be removed by my parents and it scuttled off to live happily ever after.

Nicola - The page I'm working on at the moment will deal with the natural history of _Erinaceus europaeus_ and if you have any pics you'd be willing to donate I'd love to see them. The second part of the project is being written by a friend of mine who feeds (and documents the activities of) her local hogs and the ones she's taken from the RSPCA. She has already done a brief 'Garden hog FAQ' and is working on a diary. I am looking for little annecdotes to add to it; things like amusing or unique situations your hogs have gotten themselves into, their favourite food treats, interesting behaviours (especially anything relating to fighting) etc. So, while the main info page will be a serious educational look at European Hedgehogs, the other part is designed to be more fun and to show off their characters.

Can you pm me your email address and I will send some, some are colour, a lot are black and white off the cam, but I will send you them and you can decided if you want them or not! Do look at the site, lots of info, im sure if you posted on there, the members would help out too. Also thats where you can see the vids I made of the hogs, not so much fighting as erm erm making friends shall we say
