| | | Muntjac Deer in Towns/Cities How common are sightings? Today from my Train on outskirts of Cambridge one crossed the line just in time between Hills Road Bridge and Long Road Bridge.
Then later on in the shift there was another at March nipping across then into shrubs. Im used to seeing Foxes all the time in these areas but not Muntjacs... |

| | | Re: Muntjac Deer in Towns/Cities Muntjac are adept at using gardens, and pretty good at remaining concealed from less observant residents. Expect to see them more and more in towns and cities. They have been seen in the centre of Peterborough.

| | | Re: Muntjac Deer in Towns/Cities We had one, a doe, in our garden (middle of Southampton) last year; it hung around for a couple of days but we've not see it since.
Cheers,

| | | Re: Muntjac Deer in Towns/Cities I get them in the garden every year, but I do back onto scrubby woodland where they can hide and breed without too much disturbance. They don't cause any damage and I feed them apples when there's snow on the ground to supplement their diet.
