Pilot Whales in Shetland
We had a fantastic pod of 20+ Long-finned Pilot Whales in Bressay Soumd, Shetland today. The group comprised mainly females and calves (some very small) so we are guessing it was a nursery group. The animals were very active and spy-hopping frequently.

I've uploaded a bunch of images here

and will upload some HD video in the next day or so.

Fantastic images Hugh + great luck.

I've been lucky to see these creatures on pelagics from Penzance + the crossing to Bilbao.
