That Deer Whistle seems a very good idea. I see that it's airflow operated but does it make a sound audible to humans and therefore be a constant sound? My car's aftermarket air intake makes a fair bit of noiz anyway but not enough to alert a deer I would have thought unless I suddenly lift off my throttle and the turbo DV joins the concert. If it was being sold on fleeBay I'd suggest it might be a con. I think I'll check it out further.

Aha.... That Deer Whistle seems to be a great idea.
FAQ's: Deer Warning, Animal Alert, Accident Prevention - Arvada, Colorado
Thanks for posting about it Driving at night on A31 across The New Forest is another area to be on extra alert. Could be fun too (RR goes off to inform all his car buddies)........

This may also be the reason for the urban fox population increasing. However those living in areas that still allow people to dump black bin bags on the pavement for collection may eventually find they are at risk from the same predator population expanding and finding the ideal place to hide in wait for their prey (a pile of black plastic bags)what a Catastrophe
What do you think Ric? | Interesting response, however it dose not address the possibility that Big Cats may find Fox a suitable prey in urban areas, especially those towns that still have black bin bags left out on the street.
Back to you Ric |

Sorry to be still meandering off topic into an oxbow lake (I'm good at that), but those deer whistles are available in the UK: Deerwhistles Online Shop - Provided by Infohost Ltd
They should also work on other wildlife. I think I'll start a thread in the carnobambi section of WAB. Should I wear my flameproof suit?
As you were....... AT EASE !!
