| | | Re: Badger Cull Delayed Decision According to the Farmer's Weekly, Elin Jones will be announcing the welsh cull today.
Possibly in her plenary session this afternoon.
Edit: According to the Farmer's Guardian, she made the announcement (to cull, of course) this morning.

| | | Re: Badger Cull Delayed Decision Badger cull in Wales to go ahead - Telegraph
This is soooooo depressing. How can regional extinction of any native animal ever be approved? How can we condem those who kill tigers or leopards in other countries animals that properly threaten their livestock, livelyhood or even family when we do this on our own doorstep.
I shall no longer be buying welsh beef or dairy products that's for sure.

| | | Re: Badger Cull Delayed Decision The decision has been made, and in principle the new Order will come into force on the 31st of March.
Peter Black has laid a motion to annul the badger cull Order, but the debate and vote could be as soon as this Thursday 17th March, so we need to move fast.

| | | Re: Badger Cull Delayed Decision They seemed determined to ignore the science and push through with this 100% political decision. What happens when they spend all this money, pretty much wipe out badgers and the bTB rate increases? Who or what will they blame then?
Oh well on my holiday to Pembrokeshire I shall go out of my way to avoid local produce. The only people getting my money will be the Pembroke wildlife trust. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
