| | | ID help: animal print scotland Hello,
Would love some id'ing help please! Just been for a gorgeous long weekend in Scotland, on a walk in the Highlands - fairly high mountains - found some prints I'm intrigued by! In amongst a flurry of deer prints, some other animal prints in the snow. Also a 'dropping' in the same area, but I've no idea if it's related (looked reasonably fresh, but I wasn't prepared to get too close!) Any suggestions/opinions welcome. Glove included in pics for reference...
Thanks in advance. |

| | | Re: ID help: animal print scotland Looks like some sort of large-ish mustilid. Im wondering about pine marten, but don't quote me on this. I am sure someone more knowledgeable will be along soon.

| | | Re: ID help: animal print scotland Certainly mustelid. Impossible to say though without a true sense of scale. When taking pics of tracks it's best to lay down something that is consistantly the same size like a coin, compass edge with ruled markings or pen. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
