| | | beautiful otter i am happy but sad,\my son has today found a wild otter here in weeton lancashire, sadly it had been killed by a car!
it is so beautiful.
we are both artists so obviosly we are going to take photos and draw from him/her. but then what? can anyone suggest what to do after?\

| | | Re: beautiful otter Somebody might well like the carcase for examination for pesticide residues, if it is fresh enough, so keep it in the freezer, if possible. Obviously well labelled to deter midnight snackers
Probably someone else will tell you who is currently doing such work - I don't have the details to hand.

Please contact your local Wildlife Trust they will welcome any record of Otters,even road kill,and will know who to contact if they think any further investigation is necessary.

The EA collected one from my house last week and they end up at Cardiff Uni where Dr Liz Chadwick gives them a PM. I'll try and find a link later. |
