Another question please. In this pic ( my favourite squirrel in the garden at the moment ) her teats are quite pronounced - is she pregant?
If so I thought perhaps it might be a second litter. I know they can produce two lots of litters if the feeding season was good the previous year.

When I opened the window it was sitting about 4ft away from me and I had to move back to take the photo.

| | | Re: Red Squirrels in the Garden I enjoyed your video, reminds meof when I was a child we saw red squirrels around us quite often. The tail-flicking is a warning sign apparently. Our village doctor kept an injured red for years, it was quite tame and would take nuts from you. It had lost part of a hind foot and he rescued it.
