I have also finally managed to locate the sett of the badgers which left the footprints near my work. There have been more signs appearing over the last couple of weeks, so I think they're becoming more active now (I believe I read somewhere that they go into a sort of semi-hibernation during the winter), which was a great help in finding it. I anticipate many evenings watching them to come! There are also signs of foxes and deer nearby, which is most excellent also. | Nice one man I'll need to take a look round myself. I saw a fox last night as I was coming back from a gig at the Barrowlands. It was carrying a pitta bread |

herewith a link to a short clip of the otter. Some of you may recognise which bit of river it is. The heron was following the otter, looking for scraps. YouTube - VID 00001-20101226-1032.3GP
It was a pretty special sight!

Btw Chump, came across this vid by accident. Looks like the Nercropolis might be a good place to see foxes up close. YouTube - Glasgow Necropolis deer/fox sightings, camping |

| | | Re: Foxes, badgers and otters in Glasgow? Both videos are excellent! I'm not sure I'd be brave enough to camp anywhere in Glasgow though! I'd be terrified about NEDs setting my tent on fire. I've heard of that happening to several homeless people, mostly by reading the Big Issue.
I may check out the necropolis at night or early sometime soon. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
