that said i do believe there are some (as in a few) small big cats about - particular in the forests and moors - lynx and puma etc, but breeding populations of giant black leopard type cats... nah. | Funnily enough, about an hour ago I booked my car in for an MOT and service in Milton Keynes, and was planning on going for a walk along the Grand Union Canal ... I think I've just changed my mind! |

| | | Re: Big cat Just been though most of posts on this thread reading them with intrest. But must say I do not think any true big cats are running wild in britain and most sightings are of large domestic cats, my local paper some time ago had story of a big cat seen in wood near me witch turned out to be a maine coon tom these can be up to 13.5kg in size with paws 5cm across and along with norwegian forest cat witch is almost as big are very large domestic cats and look even bigger as both have long hair, unlikely any one who owns one of these going to be letting them out but as I have said one tom got out near me. And I would not like to meet one in dark, I myself have a tabby tom 7.70kg hes big not fat and looks huge next to my other two. mike | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
